Strength is having the courage to face adversity and not fall apart because it’s hard or unpleasant. It is being able to wake up every day enduring the same pain/discomfort that my illnesses causes day in and day out and know I can survive it another day. Strength is what keeps me holding on through every doctor appointment, every hospital admission, every new diagnosis, every failed friendship, every aspiration that gets put on hold, every surgery, every infusion, every needle, every failed attempt to ease my pain, and never giving up hope that there will one day be a cure. Strength to me is keeping a smile on my face and hope in my heart that there will be brighter days ahead.
I'm a 20 year old chronically ill fighter and advocate. My dream is that this blog will help those understand more about chronic illnesses and rare diseases.
This is my story.
